We recently brought you news of a couple of new Sony Xperia model numbers destined for Japan. The SO-04E for NTT DoCoMo and SOL22 for AU by KDDI. Well smasoku.mobi has detailed some leaks on these handsets, we don’t know where the information is from, so treat them firmly as rumours for now.
They say that the NTT DoCoMo handset will be the Xperia A (SO-04E), codenamed Dogo. It is expected to launch in the summer with a 4.6-inch HD display (we’re not sure if this is 720p or 1080p, most likely the former). It will be powered by a Snapdraon 600 chipset, 2GB RAM and 32GB of internal storage. Other features include a 2300mAh battery, water/dust resistant body, mobile wallet, One Seg and infrared. Variants of this handset are supposed to launch globally.
The AU handset will be the Xperia UL (SOL22) codenamed Gaga. This handset is also expected to launch this summer with a design similar to the Xperia ZL. It will have a 5-inch 1080p display, Snapdragon 600 chipset, 2GB RAM, 32GB storage, removable 2300mAh battery. This will also have mobile wallet, One Seg, infrared and will be water/dust resistant.
One last rumour, there is also meant to be a 6.4-inch handset (Togari) with 1080p display that will launch on NTT DoCoMo. The handset is currently being paraded around and whether it is actually released or not remains to be seen.
