UK mobile operator, Three, used a cute baby to show off some of the rugged and water resistant qualities of the Sony Xperia Z. We don’t learn anything new from the video but the message from the ad is a strong one i.e. the way that people think of a phone should change dramatically once you know you can stick it in a bath.
Such water resistant phones may be common place in Japan, but they are relatively rare in the western world, especially when it comes to flagship devices. It’s therefore no surprise the video concentrates on this feature, likely to be unique amongst all other flagships released this year. Saying that though, we’re still not sure we’d let a baby bash around a phone so expensive. Check out the video below.
